The Lay Council is pleased to announce the 2018 Samantha M. Wormley Scholarship sponsored by the Philadelphia-Baltimore Conference. This is a great opportunity to compete to win a scholarship. The scholarship is available for applicants who are between the ages of 16-22 and an active member of the A.M.E. Zion Church (additioinal eligibility requirements are on the application). Applications must be postmarked by the submission deadline of March 30, 2018. Pick up an application at the Connection Table or see Bro. Sam Watkins or Sis. Desiree Dunham for more information.

The Young Adults will be collecting donations for the Bowie Interfaith Pantry and Emergency Aid Fund Sunday, February 18th - Sun., Narch 25th. Thre will be a bin in the lonh hallway next to the sanctuary to collect these items. Please visit the Connection Table for a list of what's needed or see Sis. Bianca or Sis. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 - ACT to End Racism Rally sponsored by Bishop W. Darin Moore, the National Council of Churches, members and partners. We're committing to finish the work. Join us in Washington, D.C. on the National Mall as we mark 50 years since Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination. People of all faiths and beliefs are invited to attend.

  • 7 - 8 a.m:. Silent Prayer Walk to the Mall
  • 8 - 9 a.m.: Interfaith Service
  • 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.: Rally and Call to Commitment

Judah is participating in a summer mission trip on Sunday, June 24the - Saturday, June 30th, doing community service project(s) through the Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge Program. Those who are ages 16-25 can participate in this program. Participants typically build a home that is affordable for a family in the community. No previous experience is required to participate in building a house. Katrina Ositeu is the contact person for this summer mission trip.







VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Are you interested in learning a new skill? The Media Ministry is looking for volunteers who are interested in helping out during bible study, choir rehearsal, and Sunday morning service. You will be able to learn how to use a digital sound board, operate the latest technology in church presentation software as well as manage the camera or online presence during services and other worship events. Did you know Sunday School is in session every Sunday from 8:30-9:15 a.m.? We welcome everyone ages 5-adult to join us for an exciting time of learning and fellowship. Classes include: Primary Street, ages 5-8, teacher: Sis. Ellen Ike; Juniorway, ages 8-12, teacher: Lady Moore; Youth, ages 13-18, teacher: Sis. Desire Dunham; Traditional Adult Sunday School, teacher: Rev. Crystal Lowe. The Sunday School team is ready and about you?

The Judah Children and Youth Ministries are accepting donations for the Briona Jasmine Porter Scholarship Fund. Every Sunday during offering you will have the opportunity to make a difference by donating your spare change for the Change for Change initiative. Saturday Night Live Worship Services: Every Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at the Judah Outreach Center, 4905 Frankford Avenue, Baltimore, MD. The church van will be leaving the Land of Judah at 4:45pm every Saturday to transport anyone who would like to attend the Saturday Night Live services. Van drivers are also needed to drive to the Outreach Center. Please sign up for both at the connection table. Contact: Sis.
